Goodies

Ooooh hoo hoo.. we just got a big ol' box of fresh samples from our upcoming line.. Spiritus. Everything looks amazing! We are totally psyched on everything that we've seen and we are sure you will be too! Just look at this stack of graphic goodness waiting to be revealed to the world..

Spiritus!

It's really heating up now! Tank Theory Spring/Summer 2008 - SPIRITUS - is getting close to dropping! We have some really insane stuff in the works.. truly some of the most unruly graphics to hit yet! Take a peak at our Spiritus ad that will be hitting magazines this month. It features a new graphic by Adam Amengual from his "The Witching Hour" series... i mean, this photo is going on a shirt!

We will be attending Agenda in San Diego this weekend, and the folks there will be the first to see the SPIRITUS line in person. It's sure to turn heads.. like all the way around!

We Are Friends - Wrap Up

Long time friend and Tank Theory contributor, Dan St. George, recently held an art show of 13 artists in his apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Here are some pictures of the art and the event. Hope you enjoy. And if you like anything you see, you can get more info at And The Dragon

See the artwork from the show here:

Here are some of my photos from towards the end of the night. Apparently, we missed it, but you couldn't even squeeze through the space at 9pm or so. Apologies for the crappy photos..

And we picked up some awesome artwork while we there. This one below by Dan himself.

And this piece by Jeremiah Maddock that is totally awesome. He's does great work.

The Zeitgeist

Damn you money men... damn you!
If you haven't yet watched this, you should. And then you should walk out of your job and move to the woods.

Kenji Nakayama & Rene Gagnon Opening

Any persons in the Boston area this friday should take those legs to Gallery 38 Cameron in Cambridge.. A good friend of ours, and an amazing stencil artist, Kenji will be showing new works where he overlays city and nature onto the same canvas.. it looks excellent. Showing with Kenji is artist Rene Gagnon whom we are not familiar with, but from the looks of her work, very interested in seeing more! This is bound to be a killer show, so don't miss it.

Stealer

Normally, we are not into posting this kind of stuff. But this "original" design by Lauren Moshi ripped off, not one, but two pieces of artwork at one time - Marion Bolognesi's "Secret Eyes" and a collaboration between Zach Johnsen and Marion Bolognesi called "Ill Fated".. Plus, we already legally produced the original artwork for "Secret Eyes" by Marion on a Tank Theory womens' tshirt, so not only are they robbing us both, but they are doing it late.

Photo Contest Winner!

We are happy to announce the winner of our first ever photo contest: James Demars from Amesbury, Ma in the good ol US of A! I know we said we'd post it before christmas, but we thought the new year would be better. So congratulations James. You are the winner of a brand new K2 WWW snowboard designed by Tank Theory!

James is wearing the Comrade Wolf tee designed by Zach Johnsen. Why did we choose his photo? Basically, James met all of our totally subjective judging criteria: spontaneity, energy, and originality. So there you have it.. a big thanks to everyone who submitted photos from all over the globe. It was great to get a glimpse at who is wearing TT. Below the winning photo, you can see a spattering of other submissions we received..

Happy 2008!
