Public Ad Campaign - revisited

You might remember Jordan Seiler from an ad campaign we ran a couple years back featuring his work and his philosophy.. Well we recently revisited Public Ad Campaign, the blog and website Jordan operates, for the first time in a while. Looks like Jordan has been keeping tabs on New York!

To reintroduce him, Jordan is an outdoor artist and activist against the violation of public space by big time media and advertising companies.. Jordan recontextualizes outdoor public advertisements with his own artwork and/or ideas.. shining a light on the infringement of billboards and the barrage of advertising into our daily lives. He also fights against illegal billboards in New York City, and on his blog generally comments on new technology in outdoor advertising and media. It is a great campaign and opens up the discussion over what is public space, who owns it, and who has access to it.

Stephen Holding - Subliminal Terrain

Anyone in the New York area should come and check our man Steve out! March 5th.. it's gonna be great.

A compilation of paintings, drawings, design and photography, Subliminal Terrain is an exhibition of new and existing work by New York based Steve Holding. This collection of work reflects Steve's time in NY and Hong Kong and stands as a visual time line chronicling the transition between vastly different cultures, climates and mentalities. Subliminal Terrain can be experienced as layered composites of reality, imagination, and the segments of time and space that unite them.

The Subliminal Terrain exhibition is the precursor to Steve's upcoming installation for the launch of Ogilvy’s new worldwide headquarters for the summer of 2009, entitled Maps of Impossible Worlds. Further information can be found at metalwing.com.

RSVP is mandatory, so if you think that you might stop by, please email your response to ogilvyrsvp@gmail.com at your earliest convenience.
